Description
A rare heavy bronze miniature plaque as presented to a participant in the famous show which introduced Modernism to the world. The front shows a number of wizened judges presenting a prize to a young lady standing before them. The back reads “Republique Francaise Ville De Paris Participation A L’Exposition Des Arts Décoratifs Et Industriels Modernes.” The name of the designer who received this award is lost in time, but it does represent one of the most significant expositions ever presented, in Paris or anywhere else. It is in mint condition.
