This significant historical relic covers a lot of subjects: immigration, Judaica, Unions, Labor, and many more. The Triangle Shirtwaist Company was based in New York and hired many dozens of seamstresses to make shirts. A fire broke out one afternoon and many of the exits were locked causing a substantial loss of life. The Shirtwaist fire was an important element in the emergence of labor unions in America and the deconstruction of sweat shops.
