Description
Regina Palast Hotel, Munich. An exhibition for a Dadaistic group of fine artists which originated in the US in the 1960s, and was very difficult to name, as that was its purpose. This exhibition was among the relatively few artistic exhibitions for which a poster survives. It advertises puppets and toy autos for sale, and mentions as forbidden “Boogeymen, Voyeurs and peeing in the sandbox”. This poster is a rare survivor representing a loopy, purposely evasive fine artist’s movement which is worth a lot of study. Near-mint, mounted on linen.
