Description

Poster for a benefit for city police and their families, which took place at the Circus Krone in Munich. Winter benefits for then very underpaid public servants were very common in the 1930s, and this one used a typically superb Hohlwein image of a police bugler with background of equestrian circus acrobats. (Weimar/ Reich). Tape stains to extreme right edge and lower white margin, overall near-mint, colors fresh.
