Description
The Larkin Soap Company was arguably the most popular in the US in the early part of the 20th Century. One could even win a fancy Victorian desk in exchange for the used wrappers. This allegorical stone litho is a tableau of Miss Liberty, a wounded soldier being tended to by a nurse, doughboy and sailor, all amid a huge list of employees who were casualties. Quite beautifully done. Some crumples and reverse edge repair. Bold as printed.
