Description
A looming shadow of a smiling Doughboy surprizes a mousey German officer who is trying to pry open a door marked “Western Front”. This image was created as a reminder by and for the French people in appreciation of U.S. efforts. Along the bottom are cartoon graphs showing America’s industrial efforts (“27,000 factories and mines work for the war.”) Thin past folio folds, but overall near-mint, mounted on linen.
