(See Gallery) From a rare run of lithographed advertising cards sampling posters for use in New York City subway stations and trains, with portraits and artist bio’s on the reverse. Among the artists are E.M. Kauffer, Paul Rand, Erik Nitsche, Jean Carlu, Otis Shepard, and Joseph Binder. This is sort of a who’s-who of postwar Modernist designers in American Modernism. Contains 1-12 and original mailing envelope. All cards in mint condition.
