Description

Starring Mussolini, Hitler, and Tojo. A small softcover designed in the format of a tongue-in-cheek children’s book that may have even graced the desks of schools during the Second World War. A tale of the three Axis heads comically lost at sea. Great pictorial imagery. Mussolini strikes off across the oceans in a tub (since his ships went missing) to find his lost Navy and hilarity ensues. Subtle commentary on American war production efforts. The premise is perhaps partly inspired by an event at the end of 1940 where the Brits disabled and sank Italian Battleships caught in anchor at Taranto. A well-written parody of the strained dynamic relationships between the three Axis amigos. Near mint.
