Precise 1995 reprinting by Toppon Printing in Japan. Like most others from this company, with a set edition of 200, cannot be told from the originals. A 1979 promotional poster for CBS Records. Harking back to 1920’s Russian Constructivism with wood type at angles, the goal was to get as many names on as fast as possible, cheaply, using only red, yellow, black and white on kraft paper. Paula Scher joked that after being rejected at first from every show, the poster suddenly sprang to fame and “became a stylistic noose around my neck”. Mint.
