Though the keel was laid in 1938, the Queen Elizabeth did not see service as a luxury liner until 1946. This uncommon steamship office poster is printed on a very unusual celluloid-like stock. The image of course is beautifully rendered. This poster was printed in very small quantities that was not available to the public. It is rigid with a hard card background. Several foxing dots mostly at upper edge, with two light ones in the field.. One app. 1.5” abrasion at top between hard card background and rigid front not affecting image. Exceptionally bright and fresh.
