Description

A series of figurines from photographs taken exclusively licensed by the Ministry of Aviation. This was done in celebration of Italo Balbo’s mostly successful trip with his futuristic aircraft to the 1933 Chicago “Century of Progress” exhibition. The fascist government was giving away free figurines, shape of the airplane, utilizing the fascisti symbol with eagles heads flying through the occluded heavens. Quite an interesting image of Futurism. This two part placard attached together was the property of 20th Century Fox Films and used as a movie prop. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. (Mussolini /Fascism /Art Deco /Italian /Modernism /Airplane) Condition overall is near mint-mint and very fresh.
