Description

C.D. Kenny was a major importer of teas and other consumables in Baltimore at the turn of the century. They were very generous about their advertising and created all manner of fans, posters, placards etc. These prints were done to encourage shopkeepers to put them in their windows as the back of the poster would be a major advertisement for Kenny. This particular example shows rolls and would improve with flattening under weight. The color is really quite extraordinary and fresh. The back is self explanatory. It is also unusually large for Kenny advertising or for that matter any consumables advertising posters of the period. Very reasonable at $325. (Groceries /Maryland /Victorianism /Rabbits /Chromolithography). Very fine overall barring large bites at upper edge.
