This image, said to be showing Mrs. Howard Christie dressed up in Marine garb, was originally done during the military chase for Poncho Villa during the Mexican Revolution. It was printed again during the early stages of the first World War and readapted as a poster design showing charging marines in steel helmets, banners flying high, with the image of Mrs. Christie in the foreground. It’s really quite nicely done, and among the rarer of Christie posters from the period. This price is woefully under what others may ask for the same image! In beautiful condition. Near mint and fresh.
