Description

A really dynamic design of Uncle Sam holding larders of tomatoes, fruit and vegetables at his feet as women line up to help him to preserve. One could not ask for anything more if one had an interest in this craft. It is beautifully designed and beautifully colored. There are a few tac holes in the upper edges and it was laid down on a rollable preservation sheet on May 10, 1949 and is so dated on the reverse. This came from the Salem Historical Society World War I collection, the duplicates purchased by me around 50 years ago. I ran across it in a drawer just the other day. Home canning /Food /Gardening I cannot determine any deterioration due to the method of preservation used for this poster. It appears to be in essentially the same condition as it was printed. Scarce.
