Lou Dockstrater was the most famous white minstrel – caucasians playing the roles of caricatured blacks – in America. Dockstrater himself is shown in blackface riding a bucking mule with the phrase at the bottom “Who let that possum loose?” A beautifully printed relic from a sordid time in American history with removable date sheet attached at the bottom.
