British forces battle map announcing D-Day. On one side is a detailed map of the assault area and on the other side is an exclamation of the event clearly announcing assault from the west and D-Day. Quite a relic which could be double framed with both sides showing. Very rare. Among the rarer maps ever done during the second World War. This one was supposed to be displayed from June 5 to June 12. This map served to inform all the British forces of the invasion of Europe. The map is overall clean with original folds barring one clean 9” tear along a fold. 2″ tear along horizontal right center fold line. An extraordinary document.
