Description

Though a huge star on the Jewish stage, Vaudeville, and Zeigfield, Belle Baker is forgotten today. This film was among the earliest Columbian musicals. This image is also among the few that have survived of this quite famous Jewish Star during her heyday. She introduced many popular songs of the era including “Hard Hearted Hannah” and “I Wish I Had a Moving Picture of You” as well as “Cheer Up” which I’m listening to now. A real rarity.
