Description

A quite deluxe custom album containing 64 quite exceptional 9.5×8”, doubtless unique photos of pavilions, sculptures, and with a special attention to the Futuristic dimensions of the Fair. 10 of the 64 are delicately hand colored, and one shows a self portrait of the gifted photographer Titus C. Geesey (1894-1969). Also includes 8 photos of the Cloisters at Ft. Tryon Park in 1940. All are neatly described. Geesey was among America’s largest collectors of early American objects, including Pennsylvania Deutsch regional artifacts. His collection forms a huge part of the holdings at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This is a superb album of Moderism, obviously shot by a sophisticated guy with an exceptional eye for design. One small corner bump on cover, otherwise mint and clean.
