Thick morocco leather bindngs. Luxus album for United States stamps, created for a well to do French collector but never used. It has 50 high quality rag vellum sheets made by one of the greatest paper makers in Paris, Editions Berck. The end sheets are 1960s additions in polymer. The cover shows a spectacular gold foil engraving of an 1830s-40s eagle, stars, and rays motif. A beautiful album for your best ephemera. Shows the beginnings of a little cover weakness at spine, otherwise overall remarkably clean and tight.
