Description

Hubbard ran a huge Arts and Crafts commune in New York, and also published many tracts dedicated to everything from morality to American exceptionalism. “Message” was written by him in response to an exceptional “can-do” example of American gallantry and became, in it’s time, one of the most significant of inspirational writings. This rare Roycofters published poster was intended for Army and Navy posting, and shows vignettes of Hubbard and hero Major Andrew Rowan, along with a sinking RMS Lusitania, where Hubbard meet his end in 1915. Faint evidence of folio folds, light diagonal corner crease lower left. Some tiny touch-up at margins, mounted on linen.
