Boston Volunteer Training Corps, Boston Committee on Public Safety. “Two Evenings a Week, No Expense”. This was likely done by the famouse Committee right after declaration of war April of 1917. The image is deceptively sophisticated, showing a Howitzer gun crew in a smoky setting. Printed in duotone stone lithography. Quite rare. Restorations to margins, hairline field tears difficult to detect, on linen.
